兼, 并, 且, 兼之 — four written connectives
Each joins a different kind of thing: titles, verbs, adjectives, causes.
규칙
兼 = concurrently — joining two TITLES held by one person: 他是作家兼翻译家。
并 = and — joining two VERBS under one subject, in writing: 会议讨论并通过了议案。
且 = and moreover — joining two ADJECTIVES, the classical 而且: 此法简便且有效。
兼之 = added to which — joining one more CAUSE: 天气寒冷，兼之路面结冰，行车困难。
The test is simply what is being joined.
