Three ways to ask

吗, the A-not-A question, and 呢 — one job each, and 吗 never joins an A-not-A.

规则 吗 turns a statement into a question: 你是学生吗？
A-not-A repeats the verb around 不: 你去不去？ 你是不是老师？ For 有 it is 有没有。
An A-not-A question never also takes 吗.
呢 throws the same question back: 我很好，你呢？
