HSK 1 · 喜欢 + 动
喜欢 + a verb
Some verbs take a noun or a whole verb after them — and are negated with 不, not 没.
The rule
喜欢 takes either a noun or a verb: 我喜欢中国菜。 我喜欢吃中国菜。
Its negative is 不喜欢, never 没喜欢 — a preference, not an event that failed to happen.
想, 会 and 开始 take verbs too: 我想去中国。 他会说汉语。
The following verb never changes shape; Chinese has no infinitive.
