非 … 不可 — it simply must
A rigid frame: drop either the 非 or the 不可 and the sentence falls over.
规则
非 + verb + 不可 = it absolutely must be: 这件事非你去不可。
非得 + verb + 不可 is the same thing, more colloquial: 他非得自己试试不可。
A RIGID FRAME: a 非 needs its 不可 (or 不行, 不成) at the end.
This 非 is not the negative 非 — do not confuse it with 非常 or 并非.
