Verbs that take two objects

Person first, thing second — 给我一本书, and never the other way round.

The rule A few verbs take TWO objects in a row: the PERSON first, the THING second.
他给我一本书。 老师教我们汉语。 我告诉他这件事。 我问老师一个问题。
The order does not reverse: 给一本书我 is wrong.
The group is 给, 教, 告诉, 问, 送 — all about handing over or passing on.
