鉴于, 基于, 出于 — in view of, based on, out of
Three written prepositions, each introducing a different kind of reason.
The rule
鉴于 + a SITUATION that has been considered → leading to a decision: 鉴于天气原因，比赛取消。
基于 + a BASIS, a theory or a body of data: 基于以上分析，我们得出结论。
出于 + a MOTIVE, something felt inside: 出于好意，他没有说实话。
All three open a clause and belong to formal writing; speech uses 因为.
