唯有 … 方 — only then
方 is the classical 才, and it only ever stands before a verb.
The rule
唯有 A，方 B = only through A does B follow — the written 只有…才….
唯有亲身经历，方知其中艰辛。
方 = only then, the classical 才; it stands BEFORE a verb and never alone.
方能 and 方可 are the commonest shapes: 唯有努力，方能成功。
唯有 is also written 惟有; the two are interchangeable.
