HSK 1 · 很 + 形
Adjective predicates: 很 + adjective
An adjective is its own predicate — and the 很 in front of it usually means nothing at all.
規則
她很漂亮。 — the adjective is the predicate; there is no 是.
That 很 is mostly a prop, not the word very.
Negative: 不 + adjective — 今天不冷。
Drop the 很 and the sentence turns comparative: 今天冷 implies today is cold, unlike yesterday.
