The three de: 的, 得, 地

The rule
All three are read de and do three different jobs. Look at what comes NEXT:
的 + NOUN — 我的书, 好看的电影。
得 after a VERB, leading into a comment — 跑得很快, 说得很好。
地 before a VERB, leading into a manner — 慢慢地走, 高兴地笑。
In short: 的 before a noun, 地 before a verb, 得 after a verb.
