Two colleagues compare their days, from waking up to going to sleep.

文法筆記
στις + the hour — at…
στις εφτά = at seven. Add και μισή for half past, και τέταρτο for quarter past, παρά τέταρτο for quarter to. One o'clock takes στη: στη μία.
από… ως… — from… to…
Δουλεύω από τις εννιά ως τις πέντε. The same pair works for places: από την Αθήνα ως τη Θεσσαλονίκη.
με το λεωφορείο — by bus
με + the vehicle: με το αυτοκίνητο (by car), με το μετρό (by metro), με το ποδήλατο (by bike). On foot is με τα πόδια.
The parts of the day
το πρωί (morning), το μεσημέρι (midday), το απόγευμα (afternoon), το βράδυ (evening), η νύχτα (night).
關於文化的三件事
The quiet hours are protected by law
Early afternoon — roughly three to five thirty — is κοινή ησυχία, the common quiet. Drilling, loud music and even a phone call to someone's home are frowned upon, and in many places actually against local rules.
Everything happens later than you expect
Lunch lands at two or three in the afternoon and dinner at nine or ten at night. A restaurant at eight in the evening will be empty; by half past ten it is full, children included.
One iced coffee, three hours
The frappé was invented in Thessaloniki in 1957, when a Nestlé representative at a trade fair had no hot water and shook his instant coffee with cold water instead. Greeks have been nursing one drink for an entire afternoon ever since — the coffee is the excuse, the company is the point.
