既然 … 就 — since that is so
既然 restates what you both already know; 因为 supplies a cause that is new.
規則
既然 A，就 B — A is common ground, B is the conclusion drawn from it.
Against 因为: 因为 supplies NEW information; 既然 restates what is already established.
因为下雨，所以我们没去。 (reporting)
既然下雨了，我们就别去了。 (we can both see the rain; now we decide)
The second clause usually carries 就 and is often a suggestion or a decision.
